Sunday is Coming!
Years from now, we’ll be telling our grandchildren about the Easter of 2020. You’ll remember it, because it will be different from any Easter in the history of the Church. Not just for our church, but for the worldwide body of Christ. As I’ve often said, the resurrection of Jesus is the only historical event I’m aware of that we remember 52 times a year. After all, that event is the reason we worship on the first day of the week. But traditionally, we have remembered the empty tomb on the Sunday of Passover weekend – because Jesus rose from the dead on the Sunday of Passover weekend. The presence of a tiny, but terrifying, virus does not alter the fact that He is risen. So we will celebrate, but we will celebrate a little differently.
